Guillem Rodríguez Corominas is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in Barcelona, Spain, and the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (IIIA) in Bellaterra, Spain.

His research focuses on tackling complex combinatorial optimization problems using metaheuristics, with a special focus on hybridizing these methods with exact algorithms and machine learning techniques.

Combinatorial Optimization

Solve complex combinatorial optimization problems by developing intelligent methods that can efficiently navigate vast and highly constrained search spaces.

Metaheuristics

Design and hybridization of metaheuristic algorithms - using exact algorithms and macine learning techniques - to find high-quality solutions for hard optimization problems.

Machine Learning

Integrate machine learning techniques into optimization workflows to guide search, adapt algorithm behavior, and enhance performance through data-driven insights.
