Hi! I'm Guillem Rodríguez Corominas, a researcher in Artificial Intelligence and currently a Momentum Fellow at the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (IIIA-CSIC) in Bellaterra, Spain. I'm also a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in Barcelona.

My research is centered on combinatorial optimization, one of the most challenging and fascinating areas in computer science. Specifically, I focus on solving these problems using metaheuristics and on hybridizing these methods with exact algorithms and machine learning techniques.

This intersection of disciplines allows for the development of more efficient and adaptive approaches to real-world problems, ranging from logistics and planning to space exploration.

This blog will serve as a space where I share updates on my academic journey: the conferences and workshops I attend, the competitions and collaborative projects I'm involved in, and the achievements and milestones of both my work and that of my research group. It’s also a place for more personal reflections on the ideas, challenges, and inspirations I encounter along the way.
